Yu Wang

Yu Wang is a Machine Learning (LLM) Engineer II at TikTok since June 2023, focusing on GenAI, NLP, large language models, and advanced machine learning techniques. Previously, Yu held positions as a Graduate Research Assistant at UChicago Data Science Institute and as a Machine Learning Engineer at TikTok, where Yu developed a retrieval-augmented LLM-based Question Generation algorithm. Experience also includes serving as an Applied NLP Scientist at Microsoft, conducting research in multi-step question answering, and working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Kuaishou Technology. Yu holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Engineering in Intelligence Science and Technology from Nankai University.
