Peter Yates

Peter Yates has an extensive work experience, beginning in 2003 when they were the Owner/Manager of Underground Snowboards Inc. where they successfully managed a team of six employees and grew revenue and profits more than 100% since 2005. In 2014, Peter worked as IT Support at Ritsema & Lyon, P.C., where they were responsible for smaller IT projects and office-wide software implementation. In 2015, they joined PaySimple as Director of Software Engineering and Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for Xamarin Development of multiple applications using single code base, .NET C#, Objective-C, iOS and Android app development, iOS SDK and App development/design using Objective-C, Team Lead for US and offshore team assisting with mobile development and QA, Microsoft AppCenter build tools and automated device farm testing, sprint planning and ticket grooming/writing, iOS and Android app Architectural decisions and planning, and major component design and implementation. Peter also worked as a Software Engineer and Engineering Associate, responsible for implementing numerous UI components for a Point of Sale/Customer Management and Reporting software solution, developing Taxes and Fees UI to allow merchants to set custom Taxes and Fees against products, and day to day bug fixes and software development using AngularJS/JavaScript/HTML. In 2022, Peter started working as Senior Software Engineer at Tilled.

Peter Yates attended Bryanston School from 1998 until their graduation in 2001. Peter then attended Middlesex University from 2001 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Recording Arts. In 2013, they enrolled at the University of Colorado Denver and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science in 2017.
