Joana Amado

Joana Amado is a seasoned professional in quality control and microbiology, with extensive experience in laboratory management. Between 2003 and 2018, they served as a Technical Specialist at Labesfal- Fresenius Kabi, where they oversaw the Microbiology Laboratory, ensuring compliance with GMP and ISO 9001 standards. Joana has also worked as a trainer and consultant for Phagecon and ETGI, sharing their expertise in microbiology. They are currently the Quality Control & Microbiology Manager at Tilray Brands, Inc., following a role in chemical quality control management at Fresenius Kabi from 2018 to 2023. Joana holds a postgraduate degree in Applied Microbiology from Escola Superior de Biotecnologia da Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
