Mitchell Gendel

Mitchell Gendel currently serves as the Global General Counsel at Tilray, a position held since July 2021. Previously, Gendel was the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Emerald, overseeing legal matters for a publicly-held operator of B2B events and trade shows from May 2020 to July 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Restructuring Officer for API Group, where responsibilities encompassed managing restructuring initiatives and coordinating Chapter 11 proceedings from November 2019 to July 2020. Gendel also spent nearly 15 years at MDC Partners as EVP and General Counsel, showcasing extensive experience in public company legal affairs. Earlier roles include serving as VP and Assistant General Counsel at IPG from 1999 to 2004. Gendel holds a J.D. from the Emory University School of Law and a B.A. in Psychology from Cornell University.
