David Aikman is a distinguished academic and writer with extensive experience in history and global affairs. As a Professor of History and Writer in Residence at Patrick Henry College since January 2005, Aikman has developed and taught original courses on various historical topics, while also mentoring creative writers. Additionally, Aikman serves as a writer for Good Words Global, LLC, authoring fiction and non-fiction works on leadership and religious persecution. Aikman holds the position of Senior Fellow at The Trinity Forum and serves as a Visiting Professor at the University of the Nations. With a tenure at Time Magazine’s Moscow Bureau since August 1971, Aikman has worked as a Foreign Correspondent, Senior Correspondent, and Temporary Bureau Chief, covering five continents and over 55 countries. Aikman earned a Ph.D. in History, focusing on modern Russia and China, and holds an MA in Central Asian Languages and a BA in Modern Languages from the University of Washington and the University of Oxford, respectively.
