Kari Sonde

Kari Sonde is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in editorial roles. Currently serving as the Assistant Audience Editor at TIME since May 2022, Kari has previously held positions as an Editorial Aide and Freelance Writer at The Washington Post from January 2019 to April 2022, and as an Editorial Fellow at Mother Jones from June 2018 to January 2019. Additionally, Kari has gained experience through internships at New York Magazine, Asian American Writers Workshop, Lucky Peach, COMPLEX, Slow Food USA, DOWNTOWN Magazine NYC, and MoKi Media. Kari holds a Bachelor's Degree in Media & Food History from NYU Gallatin and has pursued studies in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Food Culture, and Digital Media at New York University, culminating in education at Langley High School where an Advanced Diploma was obtained.
