Kathy Minton

Kathy Minton is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in content creation, production, and development. Currently serving as an Executive Producer/Director/Writer at TIME since October 2021, Minton co-executive produces a pilot aimed at children aged 4 to 8, incorporating puppetry, animation, and documentary segments. As the Principal Owner of Happy Owl Media, Inc. since July 2008, Minton specializes in nonfiction entertainment, producing documentaries and reality content. Minton's previous roles include story-producing a true crime special for Hulu/ABC News and developing unscripted series for various companies, including Akili Network and Transform Films Inc. A former Senior Programming Director for Conde Nast Entertainment, Minton oversaw the programming of major digital channels. Minton has held executive positions at Oxygen Media and Nickelodeon, where notable achievements include creating successful series and winning industry accolades. Minton holds a degree in English from Boston College, a Certificate in Filmmaking from The New School, and is currently pursuing a Horticulture Certificate from Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
