Robert Sumner

Robert Sumner has a diverse range of work experience. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Customer Assistant in the Menswear department at Marks and Spencer, consistently meeting and exceeding targets. In 2013, they became the Station Manager at Guild TV, where they were responsible for coordinating programming, finances, and training new members. Robert also represented Guild TV to the student body. From 2013 to 2015, they held various roles at the University of Birmingham Guild of Students, including Technical Assistant and Media Mini-Forum Guild Councillor. Between 2014 and 2015, they served as the Executive Technical Officer at the National Student Television Association. In 2015, Sumner transitioned to the field of television production and joined Cloudbass Limited as an Outside Broadcast Engineer. Over the years, they progressed to the role of Senior VT Guarantee, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the VT Department and actively participating in the transition to IP and UHD HDR technologies. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Timeline Television as the Head of VT.

Robert Sumner attended Stockport Grammar School from 1998 to 2011, but it is not specified whether they obtained any degree or field of study during this time. Later, they pursued their education at The University of Birmingham from 2012 to 2015, where they earned a DipHE in Chemistry.
