Diego Pittol is a passionate and self-motivated Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision Engineer, currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Neon since 2025. They previously held roles at CAF as a Computer Vision Engineer and as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer, where they designed and implemented AI and CV approaches in production environments. Diego earned a Ph.D. in Robotics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, where they innovated exploration methods for autonomous robots and published 14 scientific papers. They also hold a Master’s Degree in Robotics and a Graduate degree in Computer Engineering from the same institution.
