Becky Meyer has over 14 years of work experience in engineering and project management. Becky started their career in 2003 as a Project Engineer at Design Professionals, Inc., where they developed site plans for a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Becky also performed drainage computations and attended land use commission hearings to present projects. From 2007 to 2017, they worked as a Water Resource Engineer at Milone & MacBroom, Inc., focusing on dam removal, fish passage, bank stabilization, river restoration, and flood mitigation projects. Becky prepared design plans, acquired permits, and performed hydraulic analyses using HEC-RAS. Becky also worked on coastal improvement projects, including Living Shoreline projects. Since 2017, Becky has been serving as a Senior Project Engineer at Timmons Group. In this role, they prepare design drawings, performs hydrologic analyses, and completes utility infrastructure design for various projects such as city parks, commercial developments, and residential developments. Becky is proficient in using software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, Bentley PondPack, and SCS and TR-55 runoff methodologies.
Becky Meyer attended Prospect High School until 1999. Becky then obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, graduating in 2003. After working for several years, they pursued further education and obtained a Professional Continuing Education degree in Green Building from HeatSpring between 2016 and 2020. Additionally, they earned a Certificate in Landscape Design from Naugatuck Valley Community College from 2016 to 2018. In 2015, Becky Meyer obtained a Professional Engineer certification from NCEES. Becky also obtained a certification in Fundamentals of Green Roof Design, Installation, and Maintenance, although the specific institution and date of acquisition are not provided.
