Jeromy Barnes

Jeromy Barnes has a diverse work experience in the field of GIS. Jeromy started their career as a GIS Specialist Intern at the Georgia Department of Transportation in 2008. Jeromy then moved on to the Mississippi Department of Transportation, where they worked as a GIS Specialist from 2009 to 2012. Jeromy then joined the Alabama Department of Transportation, where they held various roles, including Senior GIS Specialist and Enterprise LRS Manager. During this time, they were responsible for the implementation and management of the Department's Enterprise Data Model, as well as providing GIS support and training. In 2017, Jeromy joined the Federal Highway Administration as a Transportation Specialist, where they provided support and guidance to states on their Enterprise Data/LRS Programs. Jeromy then returned to the Alabama Department of Transportation as the GIS/LRS Section Manager, overseeing the Department's GIS/LRS Data Management Section. Currently, Jeromy works as a GIS Project Manager at Timmons Group.

Jeromy Barnes, GISP, earned a Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Science from Mississippi State University, where they studied from 2006 to 2009. In addition to their degree, Jeromy obtained the GISP (Geographic Information Systems Professional) certification from the GIS Certification Institute in November 2014.
