Sammy Smith earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, graduating in 2016. In June 2016, Sammy obtained the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification from the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. Sammy went on to receive the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the same institution in April 2021.
