Tom Whitaker

Tom Whitaker is a seasoned telecommunications professional with extensive experience spanning over three decades in operations, management, and consulting roles within the industry. Currently serving as a Senior Consultant at Timmons Group since April 2025, Tom previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer at All Points Broadband, where the focus was on expanding fiber broadband access in underserved areas of Virginia. Prior roles include Vice President of Member Operations at NRTC, and various leadership positions at Shentel, including Vice President - Corporate Development and Senior Vice President - Fiber Operations, where Tom played a key role in leveraging regional fiber assets. Tom’s career commenced at Henkels & McCoy, followed by significant positions at Nat-Com, NTELOS, and Broadslate Networks. Tom holds a Graduate Degree in Leadership and an undergraduate degree in Biology from West Virginia Wesleyan College.
