Sumit Raj

Sumit Raj has extensive work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Sumit began their career as a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Minnesota in 2011, where they successfully implemented an R-Tree index structure to index a large amount of time series data. This implementation significantly improved query search time by taking advantage of data-specific properties and statistical heuristics.

Following their time at the University of Minnesota, Sumit worked as a Software Developer Intern at Amazon in 2013, and later at Symantec in 2014, gaining valuable experience in software development.

In 2015, Sumit joined MobileIron as a Senior Software Engineer, where they held the role for four years until 2019. During this time, they made notable contributions to the company's software development projects, showcasing their expertise and skills in the field.

Most recently, Sumit has taken on the role of Founding Engineer at Tingono in 2021, where they continue to utilize their vast experience and knowledge in software engineering to contribute to the growth and success of the company.

Sumit Raj completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, from 2008 to 2012. Sumit then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, from 2012 to 2014.
