Robert de Groot has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles.

Starting in 2009, they worked as a Management Trainee at the Renaissance Beijing Hotel for six months.

In 2010, they joined Nestlé Nespresso SA, where they began as a B2B Business Development Trainee. Robert then progressed to become an Account Manager Horeca NL, responsible for growing the business in restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality channels. Later, they took on the role of Business Development Manager B2B Benelux, where they focused on developing and implementing new sales strategies and processes. Robert also served as an OOH Customer Lifecycle Manager NL, analyzing and optimizing customer touchpoints to enhance the customer experience. In their last role at Nestlé Nespresso SA, they served as a Global B2B Customer Service Business Partner, working to improve customer service for B2B customers.

Since 2020, Robert has been working at Tiqets, an innovative ticketing platform. Robert initially served as the Head of Supply Excellence, where they played a role in making culture and entertainment more accessible to customers. Robert then became the Head of Commercial Excellence, responsible for optimizing commercial operations. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Merchandising & Commercial Excellence, overseeing merchandising and leading commercial excellence efforts at the company.

Robert de Groot's education history includes completing a Masterclass Customer Journey in 2016 and earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree from Hotel Management School Maastricht between 2006 and 2010. Prior to that, they attended ACS Hillingdon International School from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate. In 2019, Robert attended IMD for a program focused on Mobilizing People (to implement Change).
