Bennett Ortiz

Bennett Ortiz has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Bennett currently holds the position of VP of IT and Operational Excellence at BioTissue, a role they started in October 2022. In this role, they are responsible for the successful inauguration of the Commercial Operations function, as well as various business process improvements and automations. Bennett has also worked at Microsoft as a Sr. Commercial Excellence Quality Leader, where they focused on driving revenue opportunities and implementing effective commercial operations culture and processes in Latin America. Bennett was previously the Director of Sales Operations at both Univar and Zimmer Inc., where they established the Sales Operations function and optimized commercial business processes. Before that, at Cordis, Johnson & Johnson, Bennett held various roles including Sr. Product Director, IT Director, and Business Excellence Manager & eBusiness. Finally, at GE, Bennett started their career as a GE Corporate Auditor and also completed the Technical Leadership Program.

Bennett Ortiz has a strong education background in Mechanical Engineering. Bennett obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, where they studied from 1990 to 1995. Additionally, they pursued a post-graduate program in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan in 1996.
