Dan Gardner's work experience begins in 1999 at Hi-Tech Fuses, Inc. where they worked as a Design and Senior Design Engineer for seven years. In 2006, they moved to ABB, Thomas & Betts and held various roles such as Engineering Manager for Hi-Tech Fuses, Director of Engineering for Joslyn & Fisher Pierce, Director of Engineering for Power & High Voltage, Product Group Director for Power & High Voltage, and Group Vice President for Cable Accessories & Apparatus. In 2016, they joined thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas as the Executive Vice President, Engineering Americas. Finally, in 2019, they assumed the role of Head of Global R&D and Executive Vice President of Engineering at TK Elevator.

Dan Gardner earned their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Penn State University between 1995 and 1999. Dan then pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering - Power Systems from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2000 to 2003. In 2010 and 2011, they attended Rutgers University to participate in the Accelerating Management Performance – Exec MBA Program. Furthermore, Dan Gardner obtained the certification of Registered Professional Engineer (PE) from the North Carolina Board of Examiners in 2005.
