Simon Bates

Simon Bates is an accomplished creative director and communications leader with extensive experience in the marketing and communications sector. Currently serving as the Creative Director and Comms Lead at The Marketing Practice since October 2021, Simon has previously co-founded and directed content strategy at Touchpaper Ltd from 2015 to 2021. Simon's background includes freelance screenwriting and consultancy, developing communication strategies for major tech companies. Prior roles feature significant positions at PhonepayPlus as Director of Standards and Communications and at Ofcom as Communications Manager. Simon also held the role of Corporate Communications Programmes Manager at 3Com, overseeing a substantial budget across multiple markets, and served as Senior Manager at Hill and Knowlton. Simon holds a BA Hons in French and Hispanic Studies from the University of Birmingham.
