Adelbert B.

Dr. Adelbert Bronkhorst, born on January 1, 1958, received a master’s degree in experimental physics from the University of Amsterdam in 1982 and a PhD in audiology from Vrije Universiteit (VU) in 1990. They worked as a clinical audiologist and deputy head of the Audiological Department at VU Medical Center from 1983 to 1989 before joining TNO, where they held various roles including researcher, group leader, and department head. From 2005 to 2020, they served as a professor of applied cognitive psychology at VU while currently holding the position of Principal Scientist and Director of Science at TNO Defence, Safety and Security unit. Their expertise lies in human factors and the management of defence and security-related research.
