Arend de Groot

Arend De Groot is a Senior Consultant at TNO since April 2018, bringing extensive experience in process technology and sustainability. Previously, Arend held multiple roles at the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) from 2003 to 2011, including Cluster Manager for Process Intensification, where responsibilities encompassed the development of structured reactors, distillation systems, and membrane reactors aimed at fostering a sustainable European industry. Arend also served as Group Manager for Process and Systems Technology and worked as a Researcher on Hydrogen Implementation Scenarios. Academically, Arend earned a PhD in Exergy Analysis of HT fuel cell systems from Delft University of Technology between 1987 and 1996, following an education at Katholiek Gelders Lyceum from 1976 to 1981.
