Benjamin Cerar is a Junior Scientist Innovator at TNO since April 2021, specializing in the Risk & Reliability expert group. Previously, Benjamin completed a full-time research internship at TNO in 2020, focusing on reliability-based calibration of civil engineering design codes in collaboration with TU Delft. Benjamin served as a Member of the Board for the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering at the University of Ljubljana from 2016 to 2018, overseeing faculty activities and budget allocations. Additional experience includes a student internship at the Civil Engineering Institute ZRMK, presidency of the Student Council at the University of Ljubljana, and a role as Assistant Construction Manager at CPG d.d. Benjamin holds a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Ljubljana and RWTH Aachen University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Ljubljana.
