Gert Witvoet is an Associate Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology since September 2005, specializing in Motion Control for Next-Generation Opto-mechatronic equipment and supervising PhD and MSc students. Witvoet teaches the MSc course Control Engineering, covering classical control theory and its real-world applications. With extensive experience at TNO as a Senior Dynamics and Control specialist, Gert leads research and development in dynamics and control theory for ground-based and space instruments. Gert's Ph.D. work focused on controlling sawtooth instabilities in nuclear fusion tokamaks, a topic previously researched at the FOM Institute for Plasma Physics.
