Lukas Steenstra is a Medior Research Scientist at TNO, specializing in robot autonomy with a focus on underwater applications since December 2018. Previously, Lukas served as a Research Scientist and completed an internship at TNO, where the graduation thesis centered on underwater autonomy, titled "PDDL-Based Task Planning of Survey Missions for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles." Prior experience includes tutoring and exam training for high school students in STEM subjects at Lyceo from November 2016 to June 2019. Lukas holds a Master's degree in Systems & Control, a Minor in Robotics, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, all from Delft University of Technology, in addition to completing VWO in Nature & Technology at Driestar College Gouda.
