Mark Zijlstra is a Senior Scientist at TNO specializing in Electromagnetic Signatures and Propagation, as well as Autonomous Systems and Robotics. Previously, they served as a Business Architect at the Royal Dutch Navy, where they focused on algorithm design for data fusion. Mark co-founded Translent, working on optimal nutrition from 2015 to 2016, and held various roles at TNO, including Scientist/Integrator for Distributed Sensor Systems and Senior Scientist for Weapon Systems. They earned an MSc in Astrodynamics and Satellite Systems from Delft University of Technology and have been an Independent Expert for the European Commission since 2019.
