Marty Blom

Food Allergy Risk Assessor/portfolio Manager

Marty Blom is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in food allergy research and risk assessment. Currently serving as the Program Leader of the SRP Food Allergy Program at TNO since 2007, Marty Blom has led initiatives focused on developing quantitative risk assessment methodologies and allergenicity assessments for food products. Marty Blom also holds roles as a Food Allergy risk assessor and portfolio manager, overseeing multidisciplinary projects, and as a business case coordinator for the Food Allergy initiative at UMC Utrecht. Previous positions include expertise at ILSI Europe and research scientist roles at Unilever and RIVM. Marty Blom's educational background includes a PhD in cellular toxicology from Leiden University and postgraduate education in Toxicology, alongside an engineering degree in food toxicology from Wageningen University & Research.
