Rick Scholtes

Rick Scholtes is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in sustainability and vegan products. Currently serving as a Scientist and LCA-specialist at TNO since December 2022, Rick previously worked as a sustainable building advisor at NIBE bv from 2008 to 2022, focusing on Life Cycle Assessments for construction products. As the owner of Veganpets and VegaVriend since 2017 and 2015 respectively, Rick strives to promote vegan pet food and establish it as the norm. Rick's commitment to animal welfare and environmental consciousness is further demonstrated through various roles, including Kynologisch instructeur and as a moderator and board member for the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Veganisme. With a strong educational background, including a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Groningen and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Studies, Rick continues to contribute to the field through research and advocacy.
