Rob Jansen received a bachelor's degree in process technology in 1996 and in physics in 1998. Jansen is currently a Senior Project Manager at TNO in the optics department, overseeing R&D projects focused on developing fiber optic sensors for Structural Health Monitoring of buildings, infrastructures, and maritime assets. In addition, Jansen works in the renewable energy sector, delivering smart sensing solutions for offshore wind and geothermal energy. Prior to TNO, Jansen served as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer at Stork and as an Instrumentation and Process Engineer at Twister BV.
