Robert Altmann is an optical scientist and system engineer at TNO since October 2017, focusing on advanced technologies utilizing integrated photonic circuits for applications in free-space optical communication and medical diagnostics. Prior to this role, Robert completed a Ph.D. in experimental physics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where research centered on spectroscopy with frequency-comb laser technology to explore atomic and molecular energy structures. Additionally, Robert has experience with FOM in a related research capacity and served as a tutor and seminar teacher at the University of Amsterdam. Robert holds a Master's degree in Physics with a specialization in Advanced Matter and Energy Physics, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Beta-Gamma with a focus on Physics, both from the University of Amsterdam.
