Robert de Boer

Robert de Boer is a Senior Scientist Project Lead at TNO since October 2018, specializing in supporting energy-intensive industries in the development of technologies for decarbonizing heat use. Key research and development areas include industrial heat pumps, thermal energy storage, and the electrification of heating processes. Prior to this role, Robert de Boer served as a project manager for sorption technology related to heat pumps and heat storage at ECN from 2001 until July 2022. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Twente and a Doctor of Philosophy in Physical Chemistry from the University of Amsterdam.
