Suze Jans, RM, MSc. PhD, currently serves as a member of the Verloskundige Advies Raad Standaarden (VAS) at the Koninklijke Nederlandse Organisatie van Verloskundigen (KNOV) since March 2022, and as a Medior Scientist Integrator at TNO since May 2016. Previously, Suze held roles including a temporary member of the Committee on Screening around Pregnancy and Birth at the Gezondheidsraad and scientific editor for the Tijdschrift voor Verloskundigen. A project leader and researcher for KNOV/CPZ, Suze contributed to the development of a Preconception Indication List in collaboration with various healthcare organizations. Additional experience includes positions as a senior researcher in Midwifery Science at VUmc/EMGO+, a PhD researcher at the Vu Medical Center, and policy advisor at KNOV. Suze has also practiced as an independent midwife and locum midwife. Education includes a PhD in Medicine from Radboud University and an MSc in Verloskunde/Epidemiology from the University of Amsterdam.
