Tom Basten

Tom Basten has a diverse range of work experience in research and management roles within various organizations. Tom began their career as a Research Scientist at Eindhoven University of Technology in 1996 and later became a Research Assistant at the University of Twente in 1997. In 2001, Tom joined TNO as a Senior Research Scientist and eventually became the Deputy Research Manager of the Acoustics & Sonar department. Tom then transitioned to the role of Research Manager and Department Head of both the Structural Dynamics Department and the Naval & Offshore Structures Department at TNO. Additionally, Tom worked as a Visiting Scientist at Microflown Technologies from 2006 to 2010.
