Tom Basten

Tom Basten has a diverse range of work experience in research and management roles within various organizations. Tom began their career as a Research Scientist at Eindhoven University of Technology in 1996 and later became a Research Assistant at the University of Twente in 1997. In 2001, Tom joined TNO as a Senior Research Scientist and eventually became the Deputy Research Manager of the Acoustics & Sonar department. Tom then transitioned to the role of Research Manager and Department Head of both the Structural Dynamics Department and the Naval & Offshore Structures Department at TNO. Additionally, Tom worked as a Visiting Scientist at Microflown Technologies from 2006 to 2010.

Tom Basten has a diverse education history. Tom completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Acoustics from the University of Twente from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they obtained their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, where they studied from 1991 to 1996.
