Tom Broersen is a GIS Specialist at TNO since May 2023, with extensive experience in managing and developing GIS applications and platforms. Previously, Tom served as Lead Developer for the Geostenen team at Rijkswaterstaat, focusing on applications utilizing ArcGIS, FME, and Geoweb platforms. Tom also held positions as FME Developer and Technical Application Manager at Rijkswaterstaat and worked as a Data Engineer and FME Trainer at Tensing, where involvement included GIS projects and educational training. Additionally, Tom contributed to academia through roles at TU Delft and Universiteit Utrecht, including supervision of student fieldwork and PhD research on land use impacts in Ethiopia. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Geomatics and a Master of Science in Earth Surface and Water, supported by a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences.
