Wim de Jong is a Senior Systems Engineer in the Optics Department at TNO, focusing on fiber optic sensing systems. They have developed a demonstrator system with hundreds of fiber optic hydrophones and patented novel concepts in this field. With a PhD in Experimental Solid State Physics from Radboud University and an MSc in Applied Physics from Technische Universiteit Delft, Wim's background also includes work in Infra-Red signatures and military solutions for camouflage.
