Brooke Alkon has extensive experience in legal roles within the financial services and technology sectors, currently serving as Assistant General Counsel and Lead Counsel for FinTech at Toast since May 2019, where responsibilities include developing innovative financial solutions for the restaurant industry. Prior to this, Brooke held the position of SVP and Senior Counsel at Cognition Financial from August 2011 to April 2019, providing legal counsel on corporate and financial regulatory matters, drafting high-stakes agreements, and leading compliance efforts. Early career experiences include roles as a Student Associate at McCloskey, Mina & Cunniff, LLC, and an intern at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Brooke earned a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law, a B.A. from Union College, and has international educational experience from Kansai Gaidai University.
