David Boothroy

David Boothroy is a seasoned leader currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering at Toast. With a solid foundation in devops, cloud computing, and software engineering, they previously held key roles at Zendesk, including Senior Director of Foundation Engineering, where they led an 85-person infrastructure engineering organization and established the Cloud FinOps practice. Earlier in their career, David worked as a Technical Operations Manager at Pearson Knowledge Technologies, overseeing the development of a machine learning platform in AWS for scoring assessments. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Luther College, earned in 2002.
