Rick Hertan

Rick Hertan serves as the Director of Hotels & Resorts at Toast since December 2023, focusing on enhancing the digital food and beverage experience for major hotel companies worldwide. Prior to this role, Rick was the Director of Upscale Brand Operations at Choice Hotels International, overseeing brand strategy and performance for Cambria Hotels, Radisson Brands, and The Ascend Hotel Collection from October 2017 to December 2023. Earlier experience includes positions at InterContinental Hotels Group, where Rick held roles including Franchise Operations Support Manager and Brand Service Consultant, as well as a notable MBA internship at MGM Resorts International during the development of CityCenter Las Vegas. Rick began a career in hospitality management with roles at Banana Bay Resort & Marina, Westin Resort & Sunset Key Guest Cottages, and Delray Beach Marriott. Educational qualifications include two master's degrees in Business Administration and Hospitality Administration from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and a Bachelor of Arts in Business & Tourism from Arizona State University.
