Wonjae Yang

Wonjae Yang is a Senior Software Engineer at Toast, contributing to the New Ventures Consumer team with a focus on building APIs and restaurant management tools. Previously, Wonjae held positions such as Software Engineer II at Wayfair, where significant projects included launching an SMS subscription feature that greatly increased customer engagement. Wonjae co-founded FlowerSori, a community hotline service during the Covid-19 crisis, and served as Vice President of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Team at Boston University, guiding over 50 students in hands-on projects. With educational credentials from Boston University College of Engineering, Wonjae’s early career included roles as a CEO and Resident Assistant, showcasing a diverse skill set in leadership and technology.
