James O'Kane

James O'Kane is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in site reliability engineering and systems administration. Currently serving as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Tock since July 2020, James previously contributed to Google, Inc. as a Site Reliability Engineer from 2006 to 2019, focusing on the Google File System (GFS) SRE team. James's background includes roles as a Systems/Programmer III at the University of Pittsburgh and a Linux Systems Administrator at both Whizbang! Labs and Justsystem Pittsburgh Research Center. Early career positions included help desk roles at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Computerm, as well as PC support at Carnegie Mellon University.
