Michael Stephens

Michael Stephens has worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Todyl since 2021. Prior to that, they were a Data and API Engineer at RE/MAX from 2020 to 2021, where they implemented and supported two separate microservices to synchronize property listing data using Javascript, Docker, and Kubernetes, improved the functionality of ingestion pipelines responsible for hitting over 500 different apis every 30 minutes to aggregate and index property listing data, and helped stand up the api to be used to monetize the property listing data. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Full Time Developer and Developer Apprentice at Techtonic, Inc., where they worked as a contractor for SmartEtailing, learned to effectively implement backend functionality in an enterprise level, microservice architecture using Java, Spring-Boot, and Elastic Search, integrated Elastic search into the microservice responsible for customer data, helped prepare and teach a 3 week Python, Django class for 15 developer apprentices, improved upon existing features and implemented new ones across various levels of the company website using the React library and Gatsby framework, and worked with a team of other apprentices to create and present a fully functioning web application.

Michael Stephens attended the University of Denver from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Michael then completed a Techtonic Apprenticeship in 2019.
