Junqing Lu

Born in 1962, Junqing Lu is a Doctor of Business Administration and has spent 10 years in government and 24 years in the world of business. From his home village in Sichuan to the offices of Presidents around the world, Junqing Lu is one of the most legendary figures in Chinese business. He’s met with numerous world leaders and given several hundred speeches at locations such as Peking and Tsinghua Universities, the French National Assembly, and the United Nations headquarters.

Junqing Lu has founded a number of Chinese and international charitable organizations that have built schools in Africa, established free clinics in rural China, and promoted innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2008 Junqing Lu won the Universal League of Public Welfare gold medal for humanitarianism, and in 2011, after a donation of more than 15.5 million USD, he was named one of that year’s 20 most prominent Chinese philanthropists.

In his book Happy Companies are the Best Companies Junqing Lu laid the foundation for his “Happy Enterprise Theory,” and in 2013 the book was named one of the top 10 most influential business books in China. Alongside his hugely successful management thinking, he established China’s first entrepreneurial incubator and has held senior advisory positions for a number of publically listed companies.
