Rogier R. has a long and varied work experience. Rogier began their career in 1996 as a Security Officer for Seceurop (presently Group 4 Securicor), where they supervised security screening teams for departing flights and conducted passenger security screening for departing flights. In 2000, Rogier R. joined the Ministry of Justice as a Policy Officer in the Office of Investigations Policy, where they were responsible for identifying opportunities for collaboration, as well as reviewing, developing, and implementing policies and strategies concerning innovation in investigations. In 2005, Rogier R. was appointed as a Counter Terrorism advisor to the Chief Constable of the KLPD. From 2008 to 2009, Rogier R. worked as a Field Researcher at ARTIS Research & Risk Modeling, conducting in depth research and analysis into the Dutch terrorist organization, the Hofstadgroep. From 2009 to 2020, Rogier R. worked at Politie Nederland in various roles, including Strategic Advisor Digital Intrusion Team (DIGIT), Program Manager CCIII, Senior Policy Advisor, and Head Support Unit Operatie Opsporing / Senior Strategic Advisor. From 2020 to 2021, Rogier R. was a Business Manager at NSO Group. Rogier is currently a Business Manager at Toka since 2022.
Rogier R. began their education at Vockerschool from 1982 to 1984. Rogier then attended Bataafse Kamp from 1984 to 1989 and Escuela Campo Alegre from 1989 to 1991, completing their high school education. In 1992, they began studying International Law and Legal Studies at Leiden University, where they remained until 2000. In 2005, they obtained an Executive Certificate in Counter-Terrorism Studies from IDC Herzliya. In 2006, they received a Certificate in Counter-Terrorism from Reichman University (IDC Herzliya). In 2016, they attended SANS Technology Institute, obtaining a SEC401 Security Essentials Bootcamp Style degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance, a SEC504 degree in the same field, and a SEC560, Network penatration testing and ethical hacking degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. In 2017, they obtained a SEC575, mobile device security and ethical hacking degree from SANS Technology Institute. Rogier also obtained GIAC certifications in 2017, including a GPEN, GCIH, and GSEC.
