Michael Saminsky has a diverse work experience. Michael began their career in 2012 as a Habitat Camera Technician for Arnie's Fisheries Inc. and WHOI. In 2013, they worked as an Assistant Manager and Senior Sales Representative for Vector Marketing. In 2014, they were a Research Assistant at McGill University. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as a Research Assistant II. During their time there, they developed data streaming through cloud and ported a plankton classification model to Microsoft Azure Cloud, presented on cloud computing research at the ASLO Annual Conference, and provided technical support, engineering, and networking/database support. In 2018, they joined Tolemi as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, and Data Analyst.
Michael Saminsky obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Bioresource engineering from McGill University - Macdonald Campus in 2015, following a B.Sc (Agricultural & Environmental Sciences) degree from the same university in 2013.
