Derrek Rainey

Derrek Rainey has extensive experience in the wood manufacturing industry, currently serving as a Production Team Lead at Tolko Industries since May 2023, overseeing operations at a continuous press OSB and engineered wood products facility. Prior to this role, Derrek managed the log yard, mobile shop, and green end operations at Weyerhaeuser from August 2020 to May 2023, overseeing significant budgets and operational costs. Earlier experience at Paper Excellence included roles as Yard Supervisor and Digester Operator, where Derrek progressed from supervising yard and fiber handling to managing full production operations, leading teams of unionized employees, and ensuring product quality. Derrek holds a Pre Apprenticeship Millwright/Machinist degree from the College of New Caledonia.
