John Middleton

John Middleton has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role being Vice President of Polymer Development at Tolmar since September 2016. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Polymer Development at Tolmar from August 2012 to September 2016. Before joining Tolmar, Middleton worked as a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from July 2011 to July 2012. John also held the position of Vice President of Drug Delivery Product Development at Surmodics Pharmaceuticals from March 2010 to October 2010. Middleton's earlier experience includes serving as Vice President of Operations at Brookwood Pharmaceuticals, a company that was later purchased by Surmodics, from January 2005 to February 2010.

John Middleton completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry and Biology from Birmingham-Southern College from 1978 to 1980. John then pursued a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from The University of Southern Mississippi and graduated in 1990.
