Tom Upton is a commercial photographer in Mountain View California.
He has been photographing since a field trip in the sixth grade.Though all remaining New Jersey grade school and middle school records are unknown, college investigations indicate a brief carer in a southern Vermont and then a sudden shift to California, near Pasadena. Upon this immigration, he trained in wet process photography, and managed a BFA in the 70's. 

Moving North to Silicon Valley in the 80s, early adoption to digital imaging naturally occurred by osmosis at Tom’s Studio. During this time Tom has worked with many well known technology clients, created digital photography studios for prepress production giants, Applied Graphics Technologies and Solzer & Hail in San Francisco.  
Not one to rest on his laurels...and being well versed in both the analog and digital imaging worlds, Tom created PhotoTrainer to spread the joy of photography with the world; it is here, 
Tom presents a panoramic philosophy of practical photographic principals from his PhotoTrainer pulpit of punditry.
