Tom Schotte has extensive experience in software engineering and project management, currently serving as Manager of Software Engineering at TomTom since February 2007, leading a team dedicated to enhancing the map Search and Display experience. Tom's previous roles at TomTom include Associate Manager, Project Manager, Associate Project Manager, Senior Map Content Engineer, and Production Engineer, focusing on project execution, quality assurance, and process management. Beyond technology, Tom actively contributes to the Othello community, holding roles such as Treasurer and Europe Confederation Representative for the World Othello Federation since 2016, and President of the Belgian Othello Association since 2005. Educationally, Tom holds a Master’s degree in Geography from Ghent University, completed in 2006.
