Walter Korte

Walter Korte is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in development and operations, particularly within the navigation software industry. Currently serving as the Director of Development Operations at TomTom since October 2005, Walter oversees optimal development processes and collaborates with various Product Unit functions and external partners. Prior roles at TomTom include Director of Platform Development and Director of Software Development, where responsibilities encompassed managing development teams and delivering localized features for diverse markets. Prior to TomTom, Walter held positions at Drivetech Taiwan, SOYO, and worked as a freelance software and hardware developer. Walter's educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Sinology from Leiden University, along with further studies at National Taiwan University and TU Delft in Technical Computer Science.
