Justin Herr

Justin Herr has a diverse work experience. Justin is currently working as a Founding Software Engineer at Toolchest, where they are involved in developing a cloud-based computational biology tool. Prior to this, they worked at Clearcover as a Software Engineer II from October 2020 to January 2022. Justin also worked as an Independent Contractor at Laytra, where they contributed to developing a custom solution in the genomics space.

Earlier in their career, Justin worked at Expedia Group as a Software Development Engineer, where they worked on multiple applications to verify the financial systems stack. Justin also played a role in re-architecting an end-to-end test tool and worked on its functionality and modularization. Before that, they gained experience as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Expedia Group, where they worked on an internal automated testing tool and built additional features like a notification system and backup system.

Additionally, Justin interned at Infinite Alpha Capital Management, where they refactored a VBA equity option analysis program. Justin streamlined data import, increased processing speed, and simplified the user interface. Justin also worked as a Tech Support and Data Management Intern at Trader Wealth Management, where they assisted with tech support and administrative work and helped migrate data to a new integrated system.

During their time at Barrington High School, Justin worked on the BHS Girl's Soccer Game Film project.
