Komal Mistry

Komal Mistry is a Senior Data Scientist at Top Hat since July 2023, successfully developing personalized, AI-driven content for educational applications and enhancing AI capabilities for various content formats. Previously, Komal worked at TELUS as a Machine Learning Engineer, focusing on churn risk modeling and geolocation analytics, and contributed to NLP projects as a Data Scientist with Project X Ltd., primarily utilizing transformer architectures and fine-tuning large language models. Early career experiences include an AI Research Internship at CRIM, where Komal created a novel text dissimilarity framework, and a Cybersecurity Internship at EY, developing a machine learning-based cyber threat detection system. Additionally, Komal has experience in electronics engineering from Get My Parking, and holds a Master’s degree in Data Science from The University of British Columbia, an MBA in Business Intelligence and Analytics from SVKM's NMIMS, and a B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from SVKM's NMIMS Mukesh Patel School.
