Tom Plaskon

Tom Plaskon is a seasoned software developer with extensive experience in mobile and backend development. Currently serving as a Senior Developer at Top Hat Ventures, Tom played a key role in launching the Top Hat Community product using a tech stack including Javascript and AWS. Prior to this, Tom worked at ResQ as a Software Developer, enhancing mobile applications and migrating them to React Native. Their notable leadership experience includes serving as Director of Software Development at Checkout 51, where Tom oversaw mobile and backend teams, introduced process improvements, and automated production builds. With a career spanning various roles in prominent companies, including IBM and Moonrider, Tom possesses a strong foundation in multiple programming languages and frameworks, holding a B.Sc. in Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering from the University of Toronto.
